So I found out about this workshop 2 days ago and decided to pay for it right away! There is no way I am missing the change of Frank coming to North America and not taking his workshop. I was wondering if other members of this forum are attending this workshop, please step forward. Btw, I am coming from Toronto, Canada. Rafael

Hi, Some breaking news about this workshop We have a stunning location, it's an empty building with some iconic buildings in the background. We can shoot inside everywhere we want and on the roof. The workshop will be very diverse, ranging from standard simple use of light to more advanced setups and of course as topshoot the roof with NY in the background for some real strobe effects. Please spread the word, the workshop is half full at the moment but it's still a long time away and we just confirmed the location, I think with this location it's a much more interesting workshop than just plain studio

Awesome Frank! I know the location is secret and all but I was wondering if you could let us know the zip code at least so I can start looking for a hotel and also to see if it's better to fly to JFK or to La Guardia. I want to get my plane tickets at least 2 months in advance to get a better deal and hotel as well if possible Eero let me know if you are coming too. I see in these forums you got some pics of Kirsten, were those taken at one of the Creative Image Studios workshops by any chance? Rafael

Hi, It's in the SOHO area for both the studio location for the seminar as the workshop location. It's an large empty building. We did not want to spill anything yet because we are still looking into the insurance but as it looks now it will be held there for 99.9% or other wise in the studio.
One is on Greenwich St and the other is off of 28th street. Both just several blocks away from each other.

I'll be there... The location is truly exciting indeed. The way to look at it is, it's a lot cheaper than flying to Amsterdam. Plus, with the backdrops we are going to have, i can't say no.

If I do go, I would drive down and stay in Jersey and park my car near the event as you can't beat the price of good cheap motel in Jersey. $50/night , Parking in NYC is about $25 for day if you get it early (which they mean by 4pm)

Interesting that you point out this, I was looking at hotels in the Soho area, seems the Four Points Sheraton is the most affordable of the ones there, still about $180/night. I might take a look at the NJ ones

The best that I have found is at Crowne Plaza Meadowlands is $550 3 days round trip from Houston.(Priceline) Let me know what you find. I would like to stay where a few of the guys are staying,so can maybe hang out and talk shop. Maybe do some sight-seeing together.

Embassy Suites has a pretty good deal right now if you book thru TravelZoo.. Check the link below.. $135 (plus taxes about $160) on NYC is a steal! Plus is only a 10 minutes walk from the workshop location... I think I found where I am staying http://hotels.travelzoo.com/new-york-hotels/746992

Unfortunately it's not available anymore... Thanks for posting the link though, as I didn't know about Travelzoo. I'll keep watching. BTW I'm from Montreal, probably going to drive or take the bus to NY. I haven't decided yet if I want to drive 6h or sleep 9 hours Are all of you guys attending both the seminar and the workshop?

I've added a third date by the way because the 25th was sold out already. Most people except one or two are doing both.

What's the option to do both days?
Both the seminar and the workshop - not both workshop days You can attend just the seminar, or just the workshop, or both. If you attend the workshop, you can choose to do so on Sunday 25th or Monday 26th. Hope this answers your question.

OR you can get a discount if you want the 25th and 26th. But mail me for that. Some people might be interested to do the workshop twice, it's rather intense.
